Jeff and Brenda Hester and their Chris Craft "Satori" have been at the St Johnsville Municipal Marina for a few days after being towed in after loosing their throttle. Tow BoatUS was scheduled to tow them to Brewerton Boat Yard this morning. This will be a two day trip.
The tow boat arrived, hooked up to their port side, and began to tow them out of the Marina early this morning. However as they entered the Erie Canal, the tow boat lost its steering. They were able to limp it back into the Marina, and they are now repairing the tow boat. It was his auto pilot pump that broke down, and they are trying to bypass the pump. Hopefully they will get underway today. But for now, here they sit:
Jeff and Brenda started their Great Loop Cruise in Florida and have stopped at many of the places where we stopped.
We are going to spend another day here in St Johnsville to let the rain pass through. It would not be comfortable going through the locks in the rain.
