Several pics since the last posting:

Richard Gamble on the 18th hole at the Thousand Islands Club Old Course.
The Old Course was designed by famed golf course architect Seth Raynor. Raynor’s unique style along with views of the both the St. Lawrence River and the Lake of the Isles, makes the Old Course a must play for any golf enthusiast. Built in 1894 it is one of oldest golf courses in the United States and one of the best courses in Northern New York.

Here I am on the tee of the 16th hole

The Zipper is one of the Clayton Antique Boat Museum's Tour boats. It is bringing the Bridal Party to the reception at the Thousand Islands Club on Wellesley Island.

Bridal Party docking.
Zipper was designed for the Purdy Boat Company. Though drawn in the 1930s, the boat was never built. In 1974, brewery magnate John W. Stroh finally commissioned Staudacher Yachts to build her. While remaining faithful to the original design, Staudacher utilized modern construction methods and gave Zipper a strong, “screwed and glued” double-planked hull with vertically-scarfed mahogany planking on steam-bent oak frames. Zipper is a commuter yacht, emblematic of a type from the 1920s and 30s.

A calm Lulu with her friend Sara, a long haired Chihuahua. The two have gotten along since day one. Lulu doesn't get along with many dogs, but she is getting better.

We took a ride across the river to Alexandria Bay, and First Mate, Brenda is tending to her lines as we leave the Bay. Check out the ship heading down River.

Tomorrow after playing golf in the morning at the Thousand Islands Country Club, we leave Alexandria Bay for Clayton on our trip to Trenton, Ontario.

On Sunday, June 16 we went up to the TI Club Restaurant and watched the final US Open round on the TV at the Bar. Great finish!

June 12 through June

On June 12, 2019 We left NC for the boat , and arrived on Wellesley Island, NY in the St Lawrence River on Friday, June 14th.
Here I am taking Lulu for a walk in a rest area on Rt 81 south of Syracuse, NY. As you can see by my attire it was cold and rainy. We were asking ourselves, "What are we doing here?" But, as you will see, it improved considerably over the next several days.

When we arrived, The water level on the St Lawrence was very high, covering fixed docks and flooding the shoreline.

The water at our dock was so high that it made it difficult to get on and off the boat from the side. I rigged the dingy so that we could use the swim platform, and the dingy could drain and rain water it collected. Doesn't look pretty, but it works.

We spent several hours cleaning the boat and storing our stuff on Friday and Saturday. I washed the boat on Sunday. That was my Father's Day activity.
Lulu settled right in:

The Thousand Islands Club Marina has over 100 boat slips, a great restaurant, and beautifully cared for grounds. Here are a few pictures I took today:

The Thousand Islands Country Club Golf Course is located across the road from the Marina. There are two courses, The Old Course and The Lake Course. There is a tournament going on today utilizing both courses. Here is a picture I took from the end of my finger dock towards the golf course. You can't see the course but you get a sense of how close it is and you can see the cars in the parking lot.

I played golf yesterday and plan to play again tomorrow. We have had three straight days of sunshine and comfortable temperatures. Much different from the cold rainy weather we had when we arrived.

Lulu found another sunny spot!
