I volunteered to work at the Antique Boat Museum Boat Show in Clayton, NY. On Thursday,  I was assigned to the security group. My job was to attend the main roadway entrance to the Museum Grounds where the boats were brought in and the vendors entered the Museum Campus. As the boats were towed in, I would open the gate and instruct them to pull to the side and walk up to the registration tent before continuing down the street to put the boats in the water.  I saw some very impressive boats.

This is a 1908 Thompson Waterman Fishing Utility powered by a 2 hp single cylinder engine

A 1975 15 ft Rowing Dory Replica built from 1920 drawings

A 42 ft 1924 Elco powered by a 125 hp electric engine

1957 16 1/2 ft Lyman runabout

Antique Outboard Motor Display

1927 Baby Gar powered by a 400 hp Garwood T 25 Liberty V-12 Engine

The section of the vendor area where rare boat parts can be found. I bought a used boat fender for $35. A new one would cost a little over $100. I also purchased a ships wheel that was in excellent condition. I don't know what I'm going to do with it, but I got it for a good price. Brenda didn't understand that logic!

When I got back to the boat, Brenda was giving our stowaway a bath in the sink. Lulu puts up with this, but as you can see she is a little tense.

Tomorrow I will work the gate again from 8 to 11 AM; consequently I will be able to attend the boat auction which starts at 1:00 PM. If you are interested in an Antique Boat, Let me know.
