We are still at the Alligator Marina in Columbia, N.C.. The Bridge at mile 20 up the waterway, beyond our next stop at Coinjock, was closed all day Thursday for repairs backing up all of the boats travelling north. The Coinjock Marina had boats rafting off of each other. The bridge is now back in service, but there are still so many boats heading north that they expected to have to raft boats today. We decided to stay put for another day.
Here is a picture of Henry Krzemien on his 22 ft sailboat "Sea Marie" who is doing the Great Loop single Handed with his cat "Mickey". Unfortunately, the it was so rough in the Alligator River today that he broke his Autotiller and will be tied up until he gets the parts to repair it. He started his Great Loop Cruise last July from Cleveland Ohio.
