Left Swan Point Marina at 9:05 am. However we were delayed by the US Marines at Camp Lejeune who were participating in live firing operations over the Waterway. We approached the sign on the shore of the waterway with its flashing red lights warning of live firing. One hundred yards after the sign sat a Navy Patrol boat preventing anyone from going any further. We anchored in the waterway to wait for the Noon to One o'clock period when we could continue. They closed the waterway from 9 to 5 with just this one hour period where we could go through. We anchored and Brenda made lunch!
Here are a few other pictures from today. Anchoring in the ICW gave me a chance to try out my anchor Bridle. Brenda at the helm, and Bogue Sound from the Fly bridge.
