We left Morehead City Yacht Basin at 8:30 AM and Arrived at river Forest Manor and Marina at 4:30 PM. So it was a long day on the water. We had a nice uneventful ride, compared to the previous three days. Lulu our stowaway found a place to sit and be a lookout! We saw some interesting boats and places along the way.
This is a picture of the Neuse River toward the outer banks - a big stretch of water:
While we were at Belhaven, I thought that it would be a good time to repair our toilet seat. The plastic hinges broke on the seat. I went to a Hardware store and found a seat close to the size we needed; however, it did not quite fit. I installed it anyway and threw the old seat away. The next day, I decided to take the hinges off the new seat and install them on the old seat. However the old seat was in the dumpster. So I walked down the dock and went dumpster diving and retrieved the old seat. I walked up the dock to the boat proudly carrying my old toilet seat. I am sure that several other boaters saw me go into the dumpster and retrieve the toilet seat without knowing the complete story. Hey, shit happens!.
